Our Story
What is Harat Adduma?
Harat Adduma — حارة الدمى, or "Puppet Alley" — is Jordan's pioneering platform for puppet arts education. Founded in 2010 by Buthaina Bandora, it brings together workshops, digital learning, handmade characters, and resources for educators, parents, and makers.
What began as a small studio practice has grown into a creative hub: teaching puppet-making techniques, shadow theatre, character design, and the craft of bringing stories to life through handmade performers.
From Amman to classrooms and festivals across the region, Harat Adduma exists so that puppetry is accessible — joyful, rigorous, and rooted in Jordanian creativity.
